"Cut through the mix with the incomparable Zendrive. Inspired by a legendary guitarist, the Zendrive delivers blues, country, jazz and fusion tones associated with some of the finest, most costly amplifiers in the market. Four knobs control the overall volume, gain, tone and voicing of the pedal. At lower settings, the pedal offers extremely light overdrive sounds reminiscent of tube amps set near the “sweet spot.” At higher settings, the Zendrive increases in gain and sustain, producing tasty overdrive and low distortion tones."

A kit of components as recommended by Ivlark for assembly of the Hermida Zendrive stripboard project.
NOTE - these kits are not intended for beginners, so the ability to identify components and values from their markings and to transfer a pictorial layout to physical stripboard is assumed. No written instructions are provided with the kit.
Details and layout available here.

Note: Some components from the original design may have been replaced by currently available recommended substitutes. Of particular note, the opamp used in the Zendrive has changed over the years and so previous versions could have been supplied with AD712, OPA2604 or OPA2134 ICs. The current production version by Lovepedal uses the NE5532 op amp which is now supplied in our kits.
For builders keen to test the differences between Zendrive eras for themselves it may be worth socketing the opamp and swapping for comparison if they can source the more elusive Analog Devices and Burr Brown opamps. - more information available via the blog here.
